What Is a Brazilian Waxing?

Brazilian waxing is the removal of all the hair from the genitalia. Women have been doing it for years but since the 1980′s, the Male Brazilian Waxing has become much more popular and men are conquering their fears and giving it a try. It is always a good idea to go to a licensed and experienced esthetician for your waxing services. Just for your safety, make sure the esthetician has her license posted and is current. An esthetician is a trained and educated skincare specialist with over 600 hours learning about the anatomy and biology of the skin, including waxing and product knowledge. An experienced esthetician knows how your skin will react to waxing and will treat it accordingly. Please note that waxing should not be performed on anyone younger than 18 years of age without being accompanied by an adult guardian or parent with written consent. This is a very clinical procedure that requires post care and all precautions should be considered.

What areas are waxed in a brazilian?

The standard male brazilian waxing includes the frontal pubic area (the mound) below the belly and about 2 inches where the upper thigh meets the pubic area; the shaft, scrotum and gluteal cleft/crevice including the area surrounding the anal opening. It is optional to leave a landing strip (patch of hair) above the shaft. Normally a brazilian is removal of all hairs but some men opt to just have the scrotum and shaft done.

The standard female brazilians includes the frontal pubic area (the mound), about 2 inches where the upper thigh meets the pubic area, the labia and inner folds and gluteal cleft including the area around the anus. It is optional to leave a landing strip on the pubic mound.
